Copy & Multipurpose Paper

When choosing copy paper and multipurpose paper, you must consider the format or size, brightness and weight. The most common formats are letter-size (8.5" x 11"), legal-size (8.5" x 14") and tabloid-size (11" x 17"). You can also find specialty letter-size paper that comes pre-punched with three holes for easy insertion into three-ring binders. If a paper indicates its brightness rating, it's generally measured on a scale from zero to 100 (for U.S. consumers), with most white papers falling in the mid 90s range. Standard printer paper is generally 20-lb. paper. The higher weight papers create a heavier, thicker paper in order to eliminate bleed-through and enable crisp two-sided printing. Choose whichever sizes and features are best for your needs and budget.
